Hotel needed for conference and some incentive located in an area that offers good flight access, good activity options and some nightlife.  Can you help?

September 2011 saw an annual conference take place in Vougliagmeni just outside Athens.  With 68 delegates travelling from all over Europe it offered a good opportunity for everyone to arrive within a 5 hour bracket.

The 5* hotel offered great service, was efficient and met all the needs of the company from the welcome drinks out on the terrace through to hosting all aspects of the meeting with AV equipment, coffee breaks and lunch outside overlooking the gardens, pool and sea.

We organized 3 fun dinner options including a local taverna nearby for the first night and two upmarket restaurants located a short transfer away from the hotel where the group felt they were very well looked after.  On the last night the dinner venue also had a club attached where it meant the group could let their hair down after the weekend and party the night away into the early hours of the morning.  Many said this was the highlight and best evening off the event.

Activities during the event included a late afternoon water sports session after the conference where people could take the flying fish or banana boat, relaxation time on the beach with canapés and cava or a general soak up in the sunshine around the pool.  The day after the conference was spent sailing on 7 yachts over to a nearby island for lunch at a local taverna.  Groups were split between the yachts to continue the team building amongst the company and build up internal relationships.  With over 7 European countries attending people said it was nice to meet people face to face that they usually deal with on email.  A few stop offs for snorkeling and swimming this was a full day out on the water in the sunshine.

Sunday was a day of departures and the host was on site with the Event Managers to see people off.  All his objectives had been met and he was very happy with the outcome and feedback he got back from the attendees.  Same time next year?
